What the documents mean for you
SMSPool and its payment processors can hold, reject or reverse your crypto payment, demand ID and source-of-funds documents at any time, and report you to authorities. It can withhold your balance and close your account. Several countries are blocked.
The terms let SMSPool and its payment processors screen every crypto payment automatically against sanctions, PEP and adverse-media lists and run pattern analysis, and then demand identity, address and source-of-funds documents "at any time" while payments are held, delayed or rejected. Article 9.2 separately lets SMSPool require evidence of your location and identity. Identity checks are not part of signup, but automated flagging or a compliance review can trigger them at any point.
Automated AML/CTF screening of crypto payments (sanctions lists, PEP lists, adverse media, pattern analysis) and sanctions-related location checks are what set verification off. You can then be asked for identity or address documents (KYC), the source of your funds and the purpose of the transaction, plus evidence of where you are located. If you do not cooperate, your payment can be delayed or rejected, your account suspended or terminated, and your activity reported to authorities; SMSPool says such processor actions do not entitle you to a refund from it.

Every crypto payment is screened against sanctions, PEP and adverse-media lists with pattern analysis, and flagged payments can be held, rejected or reversed. SMSPool disclaims liability for these actions and says they do not entitle you to a refund from it unless it actually kept the funds.
SMSPool and its payment processor reserve the right to request identity or address verification, the source of your funds and the purpose of the transaction at any moment. Refusing can lead to suspension, termination and a report to authorities.
If SMSPool decides you breached the terms, it can terminate your account immediately and keep part of your outstanding balance to cover damage, costs or fees, or where it says the law requires withholding for fraud or sanctions reasons.
The privacy statement says "All data stays with SMSPool and will not be shared with any third party", while the terms allow reporting your transactions and account activity to law enforcement and regulators, and the same statement names Zoho, Jira, Stripe and Cryptomus as data handlers.
Paying in crypto makes you subject to the terms of whichever processor appears at checkout (Confirmo, CoinGate or Cryptomus), and those terms are pulled into your agreement by reference. SMSPool says it is not responsible for what the processor does.
People in Iran, North Korea, Myanmar, Russia, Belarus and the occupied territories of Ukraine may not use the service, and you confirm you are not in one of them each time you use it.
