What the documents mean for you
CCE Cash can freeze your funds, move them to cold storage during an AML check, and hold them until police ask. Its automated risk system can demand ID via Sumsub at any time. It shares IPs with partners and authorities, and may refuse refunds without reason.
You do not register or log in, but CCE Cash runs an automatic risk management system over every transaction, and a flag from that system stops the order and sends you to the KYC provider Sumsub. Clauses 3.2-3.5 let CCE Cash demand ID documents and source-of-funds information at any time, freeze the exchange, move the funds to cold storage, and refuse current and future transactions if you decline.
An alert from the automated risk system stops your exchange and triggers identity checks; abuse of the refund rules also triggers KYC and source-of-funds checks. CCE Cash asks for scans of a valid government ID and information on where your funds came from, through its KYC partner Sumsub. You have 3 days to verify; if you refuse, they offer you a refund, but if they suspect the transaction is linked to illegal activity they can freeze it for as long as their investigation takes and move the funds to cold storage.
Warnings
CCE Cash can freeze your exchange for as long as its investigation takes and move the frozen funds to its own cold storage. In some cases it keeps the funds frozen until law enforcement files a formal request.
An alert from the automated risk system sends you to the KYC provider Sumsub, and you have 3 days to complete it. If you refuse or cannot supply the documents, CCE Cash can refuse your current and future transactions.
Clause 2.6 says the service is non-custodial and holds no balances, while clause 3.4 lets it hold your funds in cold storage during an investigation.
If they decide you broke the exchange rules on purpose to obtain refunds, they can suspend the order, demand KYC and source-of-funds checks, and seek compensation from you for their losses.
For users they consider repeat rule-breakers, they reserve the right to extend order processing to as long as 3 months and to stop serving that user.
