1984 Hosting can cut off your service with or without notice if it judges your content illegal, unethical or harmful. It records your name, phone and, for Icelanders, your national ID, logs your IP for as long as it chooses, and discloses data to authorities.
Signing up is not anonymous: the terms state that when the service agreement is concluded, 1984 records your name, active e-mail address, active telephone number, payment details and a PIN, and the privacy policy adds your full name, billing data and, for customers living in Iceland, the national identification number (kennitala). You also warrant that all information you give is accurate, complete and current. No document check or AML screening is described, but identifying yourself is a condition of registration.
Identification happens at sign-up, not on a risk trigger: you must give your name, a working e-mail address, a working phone number, payment details and a PIN, plus your kennitala if you live in Iceland. You promise this information is accurate and that you will keep it up to date. There is no described document upload or AML scoring, but if you breach the terms 1984 can hand your data to an authority and keep it indefinitely.
Warnings
1984 decides on its own whether your stored material is illegal, unethical or harmful, and can terminate your service with or without notice. The same applies if it considers you have made any threat of retaliation against the company or its employees.
If your account is cancelled for breaking the terms, or 1984 management or law enforcement decide illegal activity occurred, your personal information may be retained indefinitely. Network access logs may be stored for any length of time at 1984's discretion.

If you do not cancel in the way the terms set out, you owe an ISK 5,000 administrative charge.
1984 takes backups when it suits, skips sites and databases over 30 GB in total, keeps backups 30 days, and accepts no responsibility for their quality or integrity.
