What the documents mean for you
Obscura can suspend or end your subscription without notice if it believes you broke the terms, and your payment is nonrefundable. An account is required. It says it does not log your IP or see your traffic, but may disclose data where law permits.
Nothing in the privacy policy or the terms mentions identity verification, KYC, Source of Funds or any document check. The only account requirement is registration, and payment is taken by credit card or Bitcoin through outside payment processors, with no identity condition stated by Obscura itself.
The documents never mention identity checks, KYC or Source of Funds. You must register an account to use the VPN, and the terms state you must be 18 or older and live in a jurisdiction where the service is offered. If you pay by card, Stripe (the card processor) collects your card details and an email address; Obscura says it does not keep that information, and it also offers Bitcoin Lightning payment.
Warnings
Obscura can suspend or terminate your subscription without notice if it believes you violated the terms or the law, and payments are nonrefundable. There is no stated right to get back the unused part of what you paid.
