What the documents mean for you
Swapzone can demand documents and block your swap when it flags suspicious activity, and the partner exchange that executes it can confiscate coins it deems suspicious. Swapzone owes you no refunds, logs your IP, and shares details with authorities.
Swapzone does not run identity checks itself at signup, but it reserves the right to ask you for additional information and documentation whenever it detects suspicious activity, and to delay or block your transaction until that information is verified. It also requires every partner exchange that executes your swap to run its own KYC and AML procedures, and those partners can confiscate coins they consider suspicious.
A check is triggered when Swapzone or the partner exchange flags your activity as suspicious, or when the transaction is large. Swapzone can then ask you for "additional information" and documentation; the partner exchange sets its own KYC and AML requirements, which govern your swap. Until you provide and they verify what is asked, your transaction can be delayed or blocked, and the partner exchange can keep and confiscate coins it believes come from illegal or suspicious sources.
Warnings
The exchange that actually executes your swap can keep and confiscate coins it believes come from illegal or suspicious sources, at its own discretion. Swapzone states it is not responsible for this and offers no reimbursement.
If Swapzone detects suspicious activity it can request extra information and documentation, and your transaction can be delayed or blocked until it verifies them. Every partner exchange must also run its own KYC and AML checks.
The terms ban masking your IP address or obscuring transaction details with circumvention or obfuscating technologies, and breaking the terms lets Swapzone suspend your access.
Swapzone can share your IP address with authorities over transactions it calls suspicious or large, and states all details will be shared with government authorities. Website metadata is also shared with Google Analytics.
The terms state Swapzone's combined total liability for any loss never exceeds US$25, so you carry the financial risk of a failed or mishandled swap.
